The Candy Store

A site specific installation of encaustic paintings that look and smell good enough to eat. The scented paintings are minimal, candy colored transparent fields, some with sugary textured rectangles floating on top. The confectionery of sweet paintings plays with the ideas of art as eye candy and the gallery as a sales room, but also doubles as a personal contemplation on desire and craving.
